Students are required to submit an application for approval upon admission to/return to study at HKUST. Students may not be given transfer credits for courses where no credit is granted from the host institutions. Credit Transfer Transfer of credits may be granted to students in recognition of studies completed PRIOR TO ADMISSION to HKUST, provided that students’ prior study is disclosed in their applications for admission. Detailed information is available at https://crtran.ust.hk. After ARO approves the courses, these will be reflected on your HKUST transcript. Credits obtained can be transferred, while grades obtained at the host institution are not transferred to HKUST.
